Spanish in Prekindergarten

Spanish was introduced in our prekindergarten curriculum in 2005. Our staff is joined by native speaking Spanish teachers from Yak Academy in Birmingham. They provide an introduction to the Spanish language. Studies indicate that children most easily acquire a second language between birth and age six, and that the language educator should be a native speaker. Spanish is taught in a fun and developmentally appropriate immersion-based interactive process through music, movement and story.
